Visit with Native Bird Care at Wild Birds Unlimited!
Saturday, May 25th
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Elise Wolf, Director of avian rescue Native Bird Care, will be at Wild Birds Unlimited to offer advice, tips, and tricks to making your yard a wild bird hot spot. Bring your questions or even a photo of your yard for personal ideas and suggestions on making your yard a welcoming environment for our extraordinary wild birds.
In addition, learn about the work Native Bird Care does to care for injured and orphaned wild birds in Central Oregon. Native Bird Care, based in Sisters, offers specialized care facilities for song, shore, and waterbirds. Their mission is to provide the highest quality of care and rehabilitation to offer the best chance for survival when the patients are released back into the wild. Native Bird Care is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and has no paid staff, but rather the facility runs through thousands of hours of dedicated volunteer time and effort.
This event is FREE, but donations are welcome to help support the upcoming baby bird season. To celebrate Native Bird Care's 10th anniversary and help support the great work they do for our local bird life, Wild Birds Unlimited will be matching all donations made at WBU on May 25 up to $1,000.
