Many species of pet parrots will mimic human speach, and European Starlings, Mockingbirds, and Jays will mimic the songs and calls of other bird species, but the most extraordinary mimic of all must be the male Superb Lyrebird of Australia. This species, one of the world's largest songbirds, has an amazing ability to accurately mimic sounds from its environment.
